Birth of the Earth

Miss Mike Rowe...
This is a particularly good show in my opinion, but season one was noticeably better than season two. The effects, etc. are great, but the interview locations and, at times, that lighting is very bland. The new narrator does a decent job, but his tone is much more melancholy than Mike Rowe's who did season one. I've purchased several of the episodes that sounded interesting because Amazon Prime Video and Netflix only offer Season one free of charge. Funny, they're charging for the weaker of the two seasons.

Horrendous Narrator
This DVD set should come boxed with earplugs. Season 1, which was narrated by Mike Rowe was top notch. I was looking forward to season 2, but the narration by Erik Dellums is way beyond irritating. A voice that just grates and grates to the point of you shouting at the TV begging for him to just shut up. An awesome series with truly spectacular graphics, ruined.

Stunning special effects
I love to watch both seasons. I agree that Mike Rowe (Season 1) is way better than Erik Todd Dellums (Season 2) but the topics included in season 2 make up for it.
